What is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them?

You have made them a little lower than the angels
and crowned them with glory and honor.
You made them rulers over the works of your hands;
you put everything under their feet:
   Psalm 84:4-6

So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.  Ephesians 2:19

It is clear from Psalm 84 that mankind is the crown of God’s creation.  It is also clear that God takes notice of and cares for mankind as a father his children or even more so, a husband his wife.  God created man to be in relationship to Him and to each other, and the family relationship is the first and most essential.  Marriage and the family form the basis from which all of life exists, and gives us an earthly context to understand the great truth of God’s intimate and unconditional love for us.

Here at Christ Community Covenant Church we celebrate 'family' and we are committed to coming alongside husbands, wives, dads, moms, children and, yes, grandparents with encouragement and training.  While we affirm our love of family with worship and events that focus on children, youth and parents, we also acknowledge that we are all members of God’s household.  Therefore, our commitment to family includes ministries of community, hospitality and prayer that connect the family of 4C’s to one another.

The Church is God's hundredfold answer! Come and join our family!

Care Groups

Small Groups! Care Groups!

Believers gathering in communities to encourage and be encouraged by one another is one of the greatest joys of being a Christ follower.  The Psalmist says in Psalm 16:3, "As for the saints in the land, they are the glorious ones in whom is all my delight."

Many of you have already experienced the delight of relationships with others in Christ because of your involvement in a care group.  Some mistakenly think that a care group is 4 or 5 couples meeting in someone’s home on a regular basis for bible study and prayer.

That may be true for some, but there are many kinds of groups that are small communities of believers caring for one another.  The Worship team, the Council, Male Call, the Grow class, the Zumba class Children’s ministry staff and volunteers, The Pastoral staff, the Tuesday night youth group, Youth ministry staff and volunteers, the ushers and greeters, the Destination Relationship women’s class, the confirmation class, etc. and there are numerous informal groups of men, women and youth that meet to just be together.

Whether you are in a care group, a class or some other group, it is these communities that allow us to connect and enjoy close fellowship with each other. The extent to which these groups form communities really depends on the Holy Spirit growing our love for one another as we obey the command to love one another.

Care Groups help members in one or more of the following areas:

  • Spirituality - Helps people experience Jesus and His saving power in their lives.

  • Community - Helps people experience Jesus in one another, giving them the sense of connection to a loving community, as well as to the Creator of all things.

  • Care - Helps people experience Jesus in their pain and suffering.

  • Service - Helps people experience meaning, purpose and significance by participating in Jesus' mission in the world.
