“It’s who you are and the way you live that count before God.
Your worship must engage your spirit in the pursuit of truth.
That’s the kind of people the Father is out looking for: those who are
simply and honestly themselves before him in their worship.
God is sheer being itself—Spirit.
Those who worship him must do it out of their very being,
their spirits, their true selves, in adoration.”
John 4:23-34 from The Message
Each Sunday morning at Christ Community Covenant Church, we gather to honor God by worshiping him through music, biblical and artistic expressions, and to receive teaching from His word, the Bible.
To sum it up, "We worship to remind each other who we are and to whom we belong. We worship to remind ourselves it is not all about us - it is about God.
It is about God's kingdom of justice, peace, and righteousness. Because in [God's] presence, all that is temporary melts away. We need God. We need our sisters and our brothers. In worship we see a little more of the glory God has for us. We see a little more of ourselves in Christ. We see God."

Worship by Serving
On Sunday mornings, there are many ways we honor and glorify God together: a message is prepared, music is selected, visual arts are created, and the worship and tech teams rehearse. The coffee is made, greeters and ushers welcome, volunteers answer our questions, prayer teams are gathered and everyone together sings and prays to God our Father.
Consider how you might like to be a part of worship services at 4Cs.
The Open Hands Ministry. Open Hands is a food bank ministry that collects and distributes food and other necessities to those in need. For more information and to contribute or volunteer, click here.
The Worship Team. The worship team is comprised of talented individuals who worship through music and fine arts(including dance and drama). Auditions are required for instrumentalists and vocalists, and include an informal interview. The Worship Choir is a less formal expression and any who enjoy singing (on key!) are welcome. If you have a desire to be a part of this team or for more information, contact Gloria Merriit.
Media and Sound. Our worship is greatly enhanced by the talents of those who serve in these areas. If you have interest and/or experience in coordinating multi-media presentations using software such as Media Shout, preparing and editing video or operating a sound board, contact Gloria Merritt for more information.
Ushers/Greeters. This group of individuals and couples help us find our way around and help create the friendly environment we enjoy so much at 4Cs. Contact Mike and Heidi Beem for more information.
Higher Grounds. If you enjoy a cup of coffee or a muffin before or after the worship service, then you can thank the Higher Grounds crew for being there when you need them. To thank them or volunteer to help out, contact John Mowery.
Community Groups. These groups provide an opportunity for adults to come together for fellowship, prayer and support in a context where God's word is studied and applied to daily living. If you are interested in joining or hosting a Community Group, contact Katy McCormic or visit the CommunityGroups page.
Youth Volunteers. There are numerous opportunities to support our youth group. They range from volunteering as a youth leader to supervising events to providing meals for the youth leaders. Contact Scott Parr.
Kids Volunteers. Again the opportunies here are numerous. If you love kids and would like to help out in the nursery, Sunday School, K.I.C.K, C4, etc. contact .
